Arnaudville, Louisiana

One of the oldest towns in St. Landry Parish, Arnaudville, LA was once the site of an Attakapas Indian village. It became known as La Murière and La Jonction, then finally Arnaudville in the early 1800s. It was named for the Arnauds, a family of French settlers, whose descendants still reside in the area. Arnaudville was incorporated in 1870.
